Pharmaceutical Methods Validation spans nearly all areas of chemistry but involves the development of tools and methods to measure physical properties of substances and apply those techniques to the identification of their presence (qualitative analysis) and quantify the amount present (quantitative analysis) of species in a wide variety of settings.
According to IMS (Intercontinental Marketing Services) Health study report, in 2011 Dubai became the fourth largest pharmaceutical market with a market size of $22.7 billion. The market is dominated by branded medicines with a share of about 88% value wise. Presently few Pharma companies in Dubai have received approvals from US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA), Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, Japan (PMDA).
Spectrometry segment has the largest share (33.8%) followed by chromatography (22%) in the year 2011. The spectrometry market is driven by the coupling of mass spectrometry with chromatography techniques, growing 7.4% from 2011 to 2016.
